HIGHLAND AUTUMN
HIGHLAND AUTUMN
The journey between Perth and Inverness passes through stunning landscape, especially in Autumn when the trees are a riot of colour, set against the backdrop of dark hills and pine forests. It's important to turn off the main highway in order to see the colours in all their glory. This scene was inspired by the stretch between Pitlochry and Aviemore.

TARTAN TREES
TARTAN TREES
The road between Blair Atholl and Perth in autumn has an amazing backdrop of colourful trees, subtle browns and reds, bronze tans and the dark green of the pines. With strands of the river running through those trees, it looks like a kind of Tartan Forest on way to the Highlands.

WOVEN LANDSCAPE
WOVEN LANDSCAPE
There is always land to be seen across the Forth on the horizon. Lines of man-made ground, of shore, of sea, of hills, of sky.
Patterns and stripes, sometimes grey, sometimes bright and colourful. Woven in colours of the imagination, it would form a beautiful tapestry.
